Children’s Ministry

At First Baptist Church Central City we seek to obey Jesus’ command to make disciples by making disciples of all ages. With our children’s ministry, our goal is to teach kids to love Jesus, tell others about Jesus, and equip them to follow Jesus. Below are some of the various ways your child can get involved at FB3C and grow in his/her relationship with Jesus.

Sunday Bible Study

Offered every Sunday at 10:00am to children of all ages, Sunday School imparts a solid foundation of Biblical truths taught in a fun and loving environment. We have classes for preschool ages, K-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grades along with various activities throughout the year.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says,
“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts, impress them on your children…” This time is designed to supplement and support your efforts as parents to share Christ and a Christian heritage with your children.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir Ministry provides kindergartners through fifth graders with the opportunities to learn to use their heart, mind, body and voice to make music in praise and worship to God. Experiences in music are the tools we use for teaching spiritual truths, laying a foundation for corporate and private worship. All music is chosen with the goal of leading children to a growing faith in Jesus Christ and disciple them in their faith. Our choir meets on Mondays after school from September until May.

Royal Ambassadors (Boys grades 1 – 5)

Royal Ambassadors (“RAs”) is a mission education organization whose purpose is to learn how to carry the message of Jesus Christ around the world. The boys study about missionaries that are stationed all over the world, nation and state. RAs are also involved in several mission projects throughout the year, learn camping skills and attend camp-outs, build pine cars and race annually among other activities. RAs meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm.

Girls In Action (Girls grades 1 – 5)

Girls in Action (“GAs”) is a missions discipleship organization for girls. Through GAs, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! GAs also help in preparing the lunches to be delivered during our summer Sack Lunch program. GAs meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm.

Mission Friends (Preschool – Kindergarten)

Mission Friends is a time for younger children to learn about different kinds of missionaries from all over the world. We talk about what a missionary is, some of the places they may live, and some of the different ways they tell others about Jesus. This is a great time for your child to learn about the importance of missions! Mission Friends meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm.
